Day breaks
I pace
You wait
Nothing here
Nothing there
All empty
I am filled with despair

I shake
You feel
But there’s nothing
Nothing real
Save me

Wait here
Nothing new

I love
You stare
But you say,
“Nothing can compare”
I show
You show
You set my heart
All a glow

Night comes
