I don’t think Mr. Wilde is aware of accounting or taxing practices, because bachelors – and bachelorettes – are indeed taxed higher than married people.  It’s the beginning of the year and I’ll probably receive my W2 soon.  This is the only time I ever feel like actively going against the government, rail against the deteriorating infrastructure, and punch a cop or two.  Imagine giving up half a mil to the government but spraining your ankle on an unpaved street that you can’t wear your stiletto for a month?  Where is the justice in that?

But if Oscar is saying that bachelors are happier than married men…  Well, marriage was a choice, wasn’t it? Stop whining.
