BRING ON THE NEW YEAR!

Father Time is feeling fine, so ready to retire;
the New Year babe awaits, ready to inspire!
Bring on the New Year! I have no doubt
that it will be better, we'll sing and shout.

The troubles of the old year are left behind,
visions of a bright future will come to mind
and yet, the old year with its tribulations
still exceed the New Year's expectations.

Hope is high and our faith is still strong
that somehow, someway, we'll get along.
A new beginning, there is no time for tears
as we hurry on to celebrate New Years!

Prayers for peace in this old world of woe,
an end to the fighting we've come to know.
Looking ahead to what God offers every day
We have but to ask, He will lead the way!

Our Heavenly Father, so high up above,
may the New Year bring us peace and love!
Bring on the New Year! Come what may,
Thy will be done, His light shines on us today!
