This is life
Living it up
Or so we thought
When one goes
Pushes you into the fire

It wreaks havoc upon you
Burning up the night
Smoldering the day
Your ashes fall like rain.

You shake in the palm of your loved ones hands
What do they do?
Nothing
They watch you shiver as the night grows cold
As the light grows dim
Who will be there for you when you’re down?
Nobody is.

They stab you in the back
You improvise the best you can
Deep breathing, my friend.


You throw your head back and scream
But nothing comes out
Just the ashes you once rained
You look for you lovers
All gone
Faded with your ashes
