Almost 40

Will I ever grow up?

I've lost everything more times than one
all in the name of dope~
I lost a husband, I lost my dog
alone I was left to grope.

No longer striving to have anything
because I would just lose it too,
I let crystal meth win every time
by smoking another bowl or two.

I have nothing, not even a soul
not sure if I ever will~
I've been nobody my whole life
almost 40 – a speed freak still.


I am no longer almost 40. As a matter of fact, I turned 40 today (June 13). I would like to add that I am no longer a speed freak. I have been free from the dope master for 18 months now! Just wanted to let everyone know that I am a somebody now!
