A dark emotional poem about suicide |
| I Die I glance down, jauntily And see the canyon, dry Imagine what liberty lay Ahead once I die Hot, fatigued, sweaty I am trudging along, I sigh I've had enough and chosen this as the point where I die Those who brought me up so far and cuddle me when I cry have lost the talent, so they say, would they care if I die? Those whom I bonded with now wave me a goodbye They smile fondly, pray sincerely to God that I die Those who mock behind my back always betray and lie were the ones I blithely molded, that could they deny? Feather of friendship, Lily of love They would remain, why, Bleak conundrums as ever, even when I die Is this the end I envisaged? No, I beg to deny I need to get all this world has to offer, before I die Those around me, who are my life To die for them, should I try? Nay, me, for me, if that be, Live hard before I die |
