The Blanket

this was done for a writing exercise.

Wild, soft, unknown-
she approaches with caution
as it stays, steady and unyielding.
She grasps it- it moves
with the steady patting of her hand.
She smiles and feels for more
and more
until her head is covered
and the only thing that is left
is her laughter resonating
in the still air.
