Just a friend, Just a friend
A Mantra in my head
Chasing around inside my brain
Knowing you will never be mine
You belong to someone else instead

You fill me with amazing excitement
You fill me with such joy
Playfully interacting with each other
Like a 16 year old girl and boy

Cannot wait till I am alone
And I hear your voice on the end of phone
Your romantic words reach my ears
And journey to my heart
You wake my deeply sleeping soul
Even though we are miles apart

Want to stand on the rooftop
And let the whole world see
The wonderful effect you are having
And how much you mean to me

But all these lovely feelings
Must forever remain inside
Cannot hurt the ones we love
Inside me they will always hide
