My Little Piece of Paradise

this is a poem we had to do in my Honors LA class.The format we had to use was the "I Am".

I am in my paradise
i wonder if the beautiful flowers will bloom forever
i hear the birds' beautiful call in the distance
i see an enchanting sight laid out in front of me
i want this magical world to never end
i am in my paradise

i pretend to roam my evening sky
i feel a fulfilling feeling inside
i touch the calm water from a peaceful stream
i worry that everything could fade away
i cry tears of joy and happiness for what i've made
i am in my paradise

i understand i will outgrow this phase
i say to myself it couldn't get better than this
i dream of no pain, no sorrow, no fear
i try to think of this place when i'm down
i hope this vision will come true one day
i am in my paradise
