Living in the Dark

this poem depicts a woman who keep to herself in the dark because she know shes gonna die.

                   

                                  Living in the dark



                  She acts so tough and so grown up,

                  she lives in a world of horrid bad luck,

            she hides in the dark and lives in her shadows,

                  she wants to lead but no one follows,

                    she cries herself to sleep at night,

                          living in a perpetual fright,

                      not knowing  if she'll live or die,

                          trying to ask herself why,

              she knew she was diagnosed with cancer,

              she spends her time looking for an answer,

              she stresses herself till the day she dies,

                  Her mom pleads and asks God why,

            The girl had much to say that was left unspoken,

                but she lies there so peaceful  yet broken.
