A nun's self-imposed vow of chastity is recognised by an admirer. |
| Sister,Sister Sister, sister of such grace, Habits hide thy beauty folsom. Thy gentle face unadorned, With crucifix upon thy bosom. No thought of self, tis all for cause, Of furthering Christ’s endeavors. Thy noble soul rests not in vain, But seeks repentant treasures. Beauty in soul and form of flesh, What poetic sacrifice thou gave. Denying many a man who pressed, and longed for thee unto the grave. Thy virgin offering a delicate story, That has never been told to any one. What thou hast kept, is recognized And shines as a jewel in Christendom. By:Kimarie |
