The coarse grass ripples
Back and forth, side to side
The atmospheric dismissal
Of the rain on this drive
Gives a sense of sympathy
To the land soft and soggy
More rain would cause atrophy
The mud was too runny

This road no longer shows
The enormous puddles from
The past rain and lack of glow
This new regime could be fun
Flowers now soak up the sun
Plants peek up from the dirt
All organisms finally get some
Even the people can usurp
