as i lay me down to sleep these painful tears i dare not keep

As I lay me down to sleep,
these painful tears I dare not keep.

As they leave trails down my cheek,
I think of the lover that I seek.

I wonder if he can hear my cry.
If he does, where is his reply?

I feel so sad, I may just die.
One lover is lost under this midnight sky.
