A rhyming poem about the need to rein in the gov't bailout spending. |
| A government taking into account The power to act on folks’ behalf; An action of bailout, a hefty amount, To tax the richer, as the poorer just laugh… The ideals learned: to help the troubled – With socialist doctrine, we save those stung, By economic ruin, whose costs have tripled; A financial burden – the fat lady has sung! The gains posted, unreal and ill-gotten – While conservatism wanes as our guest. Subjective matters, so cruel and rotten, Simply leave us to beg and protest… Let us imagine the worthwhile gains Of a determined America’s recaptured spirit, And hope that our legislators grab hold of the reins Of our non-Capitalist, bailout-spending culprit! |
