A poem for my father whom I so much regret losing.

If only I have known
  that you'd be gone forever,
Then I would have shown
  how much I've wanted to please you.

If only you're still here
  to accompany me
  through my dark despair,
I need you.

If only you could quench
  my deepest thirst
  for a fatherly hug,
I miss you.

If only you could hear
  the voice of my heart
  the words I kept within,
I love you.

If only I have done...
If only you're not gone...
Then there would never be
regrets and if only's.
