A POEM FOR MY FATHER

I made this for my friend who is like my dad. I hope he knows how special he is.

You are like my father
And you have already called me your daughter.
When everything begins to unfold
You're always there for me to hold.
You guide me
To be the person I want to be.
Everytime I fall
You lift me up so tall.
I look up to you
I want to do what you do.
Whenever I wander astray
you always find a light to throw my way.
You taught me to believe
And always to follow my dreams.
You're not my kin
But you might as well have been.
You are my father
And I am your daughter.
