Greasy Hipsters

I sat through a boring seminar and decided it was important enough to write about.

Self - obsessed neurotic indie adolescents
gathered in a 50/50 competitive ground
some pay attention
others stare into space, yawning
knowing that "what if" factors don't apply to them
eager to get out for a smoke or
some other reason of no lesser importance
feet tapping, alternate breathing
the speaker's voice cracks with false enthusiasm
greasy multi-coloured hair
and my pensive expression
reflect the same light
I sit there and wonder
why Bela Lugosi's death
was significant enough
to get a song of it's own.
