If I should write a poem
It won't be on the weather
Won't be about a theorem
Or rippled fields of lavender

I won't write about time
Nor bring up the past
What makes the Big Ben chime
How you make memories last

I shan't write about change
They say it's part of the game
But if change should result in parting
I want things to stay the same
