Pursuit

We are all vampires, haunting the night

Seeking substance from others, in hope that they might

Satisfy our thirst, ending our quest

This ceases to occur but we try out best

We keep the keen close, so we can constantly feed

Hydrating our want, our must, and our need

We meander through life, in search for enough

Leaving the weak behind and seeking the tough

Never fulfilled, and so we must cherish

Every living second, until we perish
