You hear the pounding in your eats
It seems to echo throughout your being
No time to doubt or recognize your fears
As you push your choice beyond your feeling

To feel Gods pleasure as you run
The addicting endorphins make you float
Enjoying the soothing warth of the sun
Speeding up to a song and the sound of each note

A time to reflect, rejuvenate, and destress
You daydream of the future upcoming plans
Eyes filled with tears and hair a mess
You end with your family’ the biggest fans

Oh the friends and people you meet
Full of determination and drive
A new adventure down every street
Blessed with legs to move and be alive
And how I love to run
My legs I don’t let waste away
Bring friends along and it’s always fun
The pleasant memories will always stay
In the end we’ve all won
