Does every writer feel this way, sometimes?

Should I Stay or Should I Go?



Aagghhh! this frustration,

It drives me so mad.

The words I write down

Are hopelessly bad.



The pain, the hardship

To define what’s true,

To say what I want,

To explain to you



The feelings I feel

The pictures I see

That I’d love to share,

Are they just for me?



The words, they argue

Without emotion.

Characters are flat -

Lack all devotion.



I’m not a writer

So the words I write

Won’t go together,

Should I quit the fight?



So help me decide,

It’s now in your hand –

Please read my writing,

Help me understand



If my work is bad

I’ll just fade away,

But if I make you smile

Then maybe I’ll stay,
