An "I AM" poem written the same day as Lunch Break |
| I am the hopeful fear I wonder where summer's gone I hear the wheels of time I see winter's approaching breath I want immobile legs to run I am the hopeful fear I pretend it isn't coming I feel my stomach wrenching I touch the hand of fate I worry for the others I cry for deep repentance I am the hopeful fear I understand the sweetness I say the ends not bitter I dream of new beginnings I try to last the harshest storm I hope in lost forgiveness I am torn, I am torn |
