My Prayer

The first honest prayer I've ever said.

Miracles happen every day,
Seeing them is all it takes,
Open up your eyes my friend,
Nothing is ever a mistake.


My life is different to be sure,
Nothing is the way it seems,
I dimly see my own future,
Full of thoughts and distant dreams.


Finally I have seen the light,
Close enough in front of me,
I pray to you, O' Lord tonight,
If I come, please take me.


As I follow my winding path,
Leading to your pearly gates,
I know I do not walk alone,
My life will end without hate.
