Take me up/ Cast me away

War is a double edged sword

When we picked up our swords and cleaned out the dust
Unbearable was the blood lust,we listened to the wise words of trust
"Defend we shall; protect we must,for the cause we fight for is just"

Now that war is upon us
We'll all fight until everyone dies,
With every sleight of my hand; In my head
I cant help but  hear women cry,
As someone's son here lays out to die

The sword then draws out red like wine
A bleeding heart today is left behind
I threw the sword to the side
For I knew it was my time...

Beside me layed all the dead
Anyone alive was out of their head
Battling only to take away; not thinking ahead
Now I lay here waiting for death

My time wasted dearly
I start to see clearly
All along beside me
Was an easter lily

Drops of blood resting on the flower
Was the essence of it's power
I'll never miss it's reminder
One day we will ressurect and answer
To the Almighty upon His tower.
How foolish we were to start this fire.
