Silence fills the murky depths
Shadows glide across the bottom
Silky tentacles of sensation
Glide gently along my spine
Memories flirt through my mind

Emotions engulf me
Fear paralyzes me
My breath quickens
Short raspy gasps

Shock overwhelms me
The sickening cold
Rushes over my face
Into my half open mouth
Filling my nostrils.

Thrashing wildly,
I realize too late.
Sucked in by despair,
Sinking into the deep, black void
Silence once more
Fills the murky depths.
