| IMAGINE Imagine a time and a place where your spirit is free to be without fear. Imagine a freedom to be exactly who you want to be without judgment or criticism. Imagine an unconditional acceptance among those whose lives intersect with yours. Imagine peace of mind that can only be found by completely releasing all that hinders your serenity. Imagine a love so pure that nothing can stain or mar the innocence that exists within. Imagine your fantasy becoming reality in the face of worldly challenges that threaten to take away your hopes and dreams. Don't give them away. Hold on until you know you possess all that you need. Who you are, What you desire to be, Is already a reality in your mind. Just Imagine NOTE: Due to the multitude of questions about whether this is written in honor of John Lennon's song by the same title, though I am honored at the thought, I would like to clarify that mine is not meant to correlate with his song. John Lennon's IMAGINE is written about world peace and my poem is written about inner peace. NE |
