Vincenzo's Baptism

A poem I wrote for my Godson's Baptism.

God sent you here to walk along with Him
While holding your parents' hands
With these precious steps you take,
In your faith, you will understand

He'll lead you through an extraordinary life
Blessed with gifts along the way
He'll call on His angel softly
And you will know what to say

Bowing your head and lifting your heart,
You will offer your trust and love
To our Almighty Father, who
Sat with you in Heaven above
