I'm Focused

just something to describe me. its old though

I'm focused on the road ahead
The winding path
complete with obstacles and pitfalls
Such an accomplishment to reach that safe space
but to realize it is not as safe as we had thought to be,
so disappointing
With the need to continue on
i find myself in a loop
a continuous cycle of miguided behaviours
and afflictions
complete with disconnected thoughts
but i won't be stuck in this cycle like my younger self
I'm focused enough to move on,
run right through this paths wall and onto new road.
I won't fake it till I make it,
I've made it already,
everyday I wake up is a day that i've made it
I'm focused on the road ahead, and behind me too
most importantly i'm focused on where my current footing is.
Because I know more than most,
Those cracks in the path can be a bitch.
