Parting Of Friends

A friend of many years I worked with left the job...

Times have changed
As we can see
And now it affects
Both you and me

I couldn't believe
The words you had to say
But it was the sadness in your voice
That just blew me away

So I wrote this poem
To let you know
There's someone in this world
Who doesn't want to let go

And as I close my eyes
To hide the tears
I want you to know
That I will remember you...
For all my years!
