Welcome to Earth

The alien addressed the United Nations.
"I bring peace, an end to hunger and the cure for all your diseases."
The assembled gathering applauded thunderously.
The alien left the building and was promptly mugged. The keys to his spaceship were stolen, and the craft's metal hull was cut up and sold to a scrap dealer.
