Summertime is thrilling. Even a long, dull car ride can become lively with playful conversation and picturesque things to look at. It is nearly impossible for the season to generate unhappiness...nearly impossible....Until that moment, I was happy. But on that brightly lit day, I felt the incongruence as warm as the summer sun on my face.
