Born of Ignorance
Bred in Hypocrisy
A fearful view of the life in front of me

Unworthy, undeserving, a worthless sinner
Over and Over again I’m told
My youthful mind placated, so again I fold

Indoctrination of the highest order
Disguised as acceptance, peace and, love
All of which they say, stems only from above

Wanting of a life less painful
Inciting hatred I live to die
All for naught, time passes by

Horrific visions of guilty ramifications
Afraid of my own thoughts, I pray to no one
Forgive me father, for all that I have done

Never a response, Never a return
I’m being tested is what they say
My hunger for His love is slipping away

Mindless wandering of discontent souls
Like sheep to a slaughter, they follow committed
Their wills to live they have all submitted
