Another Day

if she could only read this...

Get home to rest my tired feet
make a meal that i won't eat
close out the blinds
hit the sack
Keep laying there upon my back
think about what i could've been
then all the walls start closing in

Another night to hear the cries,
Another night to close my eyes
And i just can't face the lies
for another night
Another night for me to prove
that there's more that i can do
less for me, but more for you

Wake up early at the gym
make my way to work again
close out the thoughts,
focus on the task
make my face into the mask,
Use the man that all can see
to hide the broken soul
inside of me
