A broken heart, and the pain that follows

You left me here
Broken and bleeding
You stand there watching
My pain amuses you

You do nothing to help
You show no emotion
Your cold, dark eyes
Watching my suffering

You broke my heart
And left it bleeding

You show no remorse
As I lay here crying

The agony is fierce
Flaming daggers in my heart
These scars won't show
But I'll feel them forever

I will survive
But I am broken
Forever bleeding
Forever scarred

It's all my fault
I trusted you

I cry at night
But no one knows
The daggers still burn
Growing ever hotter

Thinking about that night
Wishing you had killed me
Instead of leaving me like this
I can't take the pain much longer

Piercing daggers never fading
I'm drowning in the tears
Falling into a world of darkness
Icy claws grip my soul

There is nothing left
I am but an empty shell
The pain engulfs me
I let go of everything

An endless sleep invites me

And finally succumb to sleep
