Smothered Ashes

Based off a nightmare I had about my house burning down...and a little about lost love.

In the place I used to find such comfort in
Your warm embrace
The flames are burning it all to shreds
And now only ashes remain

I woke up to find I’m living a nightmare
The walls have collapsed and no one but me still stands here
All around me is only them
The faces of the enemies, I can’t forget

Within this hollowness inside of me
I gave up on breathing
In this place I’m not myself
Because I joined you in the depths of hell
