ALWAYS DREAMING OF YOU

It's been a long time since you left me
but I'm still feeling the same old pain.
You left me for another love you said
would make your world bright again.

I am always dreaming of you and
there you are again, smiling through.
In my dreams the love we had shared
is not a memory but beautiful and true.

Somehow we drifted so far apart
without knowing the reasons why.
I never thought you would leave me
and if you did, I would surely die.

The leaving took its toll on both of us,
we've changed and I have a lot to learn.
Without you I am just surviving everyday
and at night those same dreams return.

I am always dreaming of you and
there you are again, smiling through.
In my dreams the love we had shared
is not a memory but beautiful and true.
