The need to say "I love you"

"Why cant I say it?"

At this moment, I know you're not here.
But I Thought you should know,
And I’ll try and be clear.
That hearing your voice,
Before going to bed.
For one more day,
My heart be fed.

But something forgotten,
And something unspoken.
It was hard not to say it,
As it left my heart broken.
But all is not lost,
The void has been filled.
With this new beginning,
There is something to build.

So take this to heart,
And don’t be shaken.
The feelings are real,
They are not mistaken.
We have nothing but time,
And time shall tell.
So have faith my dear,
And all will be well.
