Lies

A poem about loneliness,loss, and lies.

The ones that I once called friends,
Those times have passed
All that has ended
Time passes way too fast

Now through the times of pain and tears
You turn your backs
You lied to me all these years
“Why did you do that?” I ask

Because you never cared,
When I needed you most, you let me down
All the memories we shared
They mean nothing to you now

So leave me alone,
My whole life was just a lie
Now I see what I should’ve known
That you just left me here to die.
