The American Way

It's the American life and the American dream to make this country stand tall
It's the American people and the American courage that gets us through it all
It's the American sacrifice and the American loss when planes crashed into our buildings
It's the American way and the American choice to fight back when terrorists do these things
It's the American heart and the American strength to move on when this tragedy happened
It's the American tears and the American prayer that keeps the angels' wings flapping
It's the American pain and the American sorrow when people lost their lives
But it's the American joy and the American smile to those that luckily survived
It's the American police and the American firefighters that gave their lives for others
It's the American citizens and the American heros that will always be remembered
