a few lines that sprung to mind about friend that passed away last year

You were a piece of the sun lighting up my life
A smile, a joke, a compliment
Lavishing me with gifts from the heart
You gave more than you took
From those who were close to your heart
Turning from simple friend to
Something closer to an angel on earth
That God must have needed in heaven
Though now in heaven dwell a piece of my heart
For with God's need for his Earthly Angel
He took not only a piece of my heart
But light from my life
