The Downtowner

I live downtown in a high-rise.
I drive a hybrid,
Shop at the co-op,
And support local businesses.

And after walking from my downtown job
To my downtown apartment,
I drive my foreign car
To Wal-Mart when no one's looking.

While I eat my soy burger (I'm vegetarian, of course)
At a backyard bar-b-que in the suburbs
I look at uptown bliss and see
That the world would be so much better

If everyone lived like me.
