The doorway

This is another school assignment

I live in a doorway
between two rooms I feel the open air
hearing the sound of outspoken voices
sudden and judged
gossip quietly whispers like the wind
open minds, shattered hearts
fixed on today, caught in tomorrow

The other room is quiet
the world inside out
oberserving quietly
watching movements that pass
grazing on the insights of others
words pass the eye
diversely toned voices
lurk the ear
mouth everlastingly sealed
