Starting today I am becoming a new me

No more analyzing mistakes from my past

Regretting relationships that did not last

Starting today I am thinking selfishly

Not caring about people who don't care about me

Trying to make myself into who they want me to be

Starting today I am becoming a new woman

A better mother, daughter and friend

A positive role model is the message I choose to send

Starting today I am going to listen closely

To God, my kids, anyone who speaks

I've learned from experience a closed mind is also weak

Starting today I am going to forgive myself

And forgive others who have caused me pain

Erase the hurt from my heart so that my tears will not fall like rain

Starting today I just want to be happy

All negativity and roadblocks pushed out of my way
