Or maybe I need to give up on you
But I want to be your wife
I can't explain why I'm still here
I know why it's so hard to let go
Searching for where my strength is
But my weakness for you only shows
Would it benefit me, if you were to be
My friend, my protector, my man
Am I wasting my time, cause you'll never be mine
And I am no part of your plans
Trying to make sense of this is difficult
But the confusion of us intrigues me
Distance seems the wisest solution
Except it takes me away from where I want to be
I want to be able to forget you
Yet I reflect on each moment we share
Outsiders say I am a fool for you
Deep inside, I really don't care
I can't allow my heart to be broken
But my love for you is so strong
That being with you feels so right
And leaving you feels so wrong
