ANNIVERSARY OF 911

This is a poem I wrote on the 1st anniversary of what is referred to in the US as 911.

A year ago today
This country was devastated
But not defeated
This country was terrorized
But not trembling
This country fell to its knees
But only in prayer
This country was beaten
But not defeated
A year ago today
Tragedy struck this country
And the world learned how strong this country really is
