Why are we the way we are?
Looking to and fro
Trying to find out what's next
Even though we'll never know.
Life will grab you by the arm
Pulling you this way and that
You can struggle all you want
But life will win; it's a fact.
We get caught up in the here and now
Thinking it's all about us
When in reality it's not
But we still put up a fuss.
And then we go and think to the future
Then, later, ahead
That's what becomes important
And worry fills our heads.
What to do? Where to go?
How do I get there? I want to know.
When will it happen? How will it go?
Who's gonna help me? I need to be shown!
Who wants to live like that?
Being tossed to and fro
It makes life too complicated
It makes life your foe.
So why don't you just give it up?
This thing we want called control
Hand it over to Your Maker
Just live life and let go.
