Forever Yours

A number of notes written to say good bye.

The sun shines through the day
Like it does warmly, every May
The birds are singing, the flowers in bloom
They lighten my burden, shine away the gloom.
Eating up the sores of my heart
Planting seeds, to rise up in part.
Like a crying horse,
Forever yours.

I remember all those days far past,
When I thought those moments would last.
The touch of your hand, they spoke sweet words
Now I cry silently, with my heart now in thirds
I would give everything, to have you again
But death rends the picture of all that had been
Lovingly of course,
Forever yours.

I miss you though it has been but some hours
Love holds on like a bind that overpowers.
Thinking of nothing but the laugh on your face,
Even that disappears in a grey, falling haze.
I'm falling to pieces; I need you to catch them,
I need you here to mend my hearts ripping hem.
In solemn remorse,
Forever yours.
