The writing of I

A description of my writing, and how I think when I write.

I sit down at the keyboard,
And block out everything outside.
I dive into my mind, like stepping into a new world,
I see the land inside it, and I pick up something,
anything, that I find lying on the floor.
Then I return to my desk, and look at the thing I’ve retrieved,
I place it in my minds eye, and write about it.
And, slowly, with each word that falls, the thing becomes alive.
