I'm Hoping

A poem for those hearts aching for attention and love...

If I was given a single chance
Of being with you and not just glance
Then I would give everything 'bout me
I love you so, why can't you see?

I merely glance at your face.
Sadness and fear in me there's no trace.
But if I ever see you again,
Then maybe it is truly the end.

I'm simply sad. I feel so bad.
It's like I've lost everything I had.
My love for you is lost and gone.
My hopes and dreams are finally done.

Love, affection, where are you?
I thought you're here, I thought you're true.
But then I know you're never there.
You're never here, you never care.

Dreams for me are just so bad.
It's a nightmare I've always had.
That I disgust you, forgive me please.
And then my love for you will cease.
