She wants to go to the sea-side

I went to the beach alone after my final exams and was 'inspired'

( My exam had finished at 10 and I was waiting for the 4 o'clock bus and decided to go to the nearby beach - on my own. I walked from school, and in school uniform, lay on the deserted beach and tried to express (unsuccessfully) the 'beauty of the morning silent, bare' - I love Wordsworth. Serene, superb, tranquil, still
Turquoise water
Fish with gills.

I am alone by the sea
Cool waves ebb and flow.

I am alone by the sea
Nobody near
Merely me.

Baby shells freckled pink, blue
Coarse golden sand
Music too.

Music of waves, of nature, of distant seas
Music of clear waters and of coral reefs
Smell of rocks, salt and fish
Smell of children, of laughter
A long lost wish.

Gentle breezes from foreign lands
Softly tease and shape the sands.

I lay down and feel the burn
Of the sun; the traveling lantern
As it makes it’s way across the sky
And as time floats slowly by.
